As we reflect on the thousands of lives lost, people in Huntington remembered 9/11 among a massive display of U.S. flags called “The Healing Field” at Spring Hill Cemetery.
More than 3,000 flags were placed at the cemetery to honor the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Those honored included veterans, emergency responders and even victims in the Marshall plane crash.
The flag display has been up for the past four days and has made a difference for a lot of people.
Members of the public were also able to purchase a flag and attach a card in memory of a loved one. The money raised will go toward the completion of a memorial bell tower.
