West Virginians paused Tuesday morning to remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives 11 years ago in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
In Charleston, a moment of silence was observed at 8:46 a.m., the exact time the first plane crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center.
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin laid a wreath at the Fallen Firefighters Memorial at the state Capitol.
