A former Huntington convenience store owner has pleaded guilty to food stamp fraud.
Abe Eloirzazi, who was the owner of the All-In-One convenience store on Ninth Avenue in Huntington, pleaded guilty Monday in federal court in Huntington to defrauding the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
Investigators said Eloirzazi admitted to swiping certain electronic bank transfer cards and give those involved a percentage in cash and then keep a percentage for themselves.
Eloirzazi faces up to five year in prison and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced in December. He will also have to pay $127,000 in restitution.
