SAFETY INSPECTIONS PLANNED PSC Inspectors To Focus On Brake Safety This Week

Public Service Commission enforcement inspectors will be conducting safety inspections at weigh stations this week focusing on brakes on commercial motor vehicles.
The inspections will take place on Interstate 64 East in Winfield, Interstate 77 North and South in Mineral Wells and Interstate 79 North and South in Fairmont, according to a news release from the PSC.
The effort is part of Brake Safety Week. It is desgined to help drivers of commercial motor vehicles understand the importance of proper brake inspection, maintenance and operation by focusing on enhancing knowledge, regulatory compliance and performance of commercial vehicle braking systems.
