A longtime capital city tradition that was resurrected from the dead drew a crowd at its new location.
People lined D Street in South Charleston Sunday for the Funeral Parade that was once a part of the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta.
Once the Regatta was canceled, the Funeral Parade continued in Charleston, but recently lost some of its sponsors. That's when the South Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau stepped up to the plate to take over the event.
The parade concluded with a costume contest and music.
