18-Year-Old, Two Juveniles Arrested After Alleged Sexual Abuse On School Bus

Three Kanawha County students have been arrested after alleged incidences of sexual abuse on a school bus late last month.
Kanawha County deputies say it happened Aug. 28 and 29 during the ride home from Elk Middle School and Herbert Hoover High School.
Matthew Cavalier, 18, of Quick, a 16-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy are all charged with sexual abuse, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Cavalier and the 16-year-old forcibly fondled the private parts of a 13-year-old girl, and a 12-year-old boy exposed his private parts and allegedly attempted to force another 12-year-old boy to perform sexual acts on him.
Cavalier is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He is in the South Central Regional Jail on $25,000 bond.
The 16-year-old is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. The 12-year-old boy is facing three counts of first-degree sexual abuse. Both juveniles were sent to the Tiger Morton Juvenile Detention Center.
