The man accused in the Kanawha Valley sniper-style killings will remain in prison.
Kanawha County Circuit Judge Duke Bloom sentenced Shawn Lester to 40 years in the murder of Jeanie Patton, Friday morning.
Bloom says Lester will not receive credit for any time already served.
