A Chelyan man has been charged with possession with intent to distribute prescription pills, deputies said.
Terry M. Patterson, 30, was arrested about noon Wednesday by members of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office S.T.O.P. team, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department.
Members of the team went to the home to investigate complaints of narcotics trafficking, the release said. During the search of the residence, deputies said, they located 37 hydrocodone tablets and 34 roxicodone tablets. The sheriff’s department said Patterson does not possess a valid prescription for any of the narcotics.
Deputies also seized $840 in cash believed to be proceeds from narcotics sales.
Patterson was arraigned at Kanawha County Magistrate Court and released on a $50,000 personal recognizance bond.
