One of the men wanted in connection with a shooting in the McDemott area in Scioto County has been captured, sheriff’s deputies said.
Lee York was arrested about 1 p.m. Tuesday. The search for Steve Hodge continues. Deputies said the two men are suspects in a shooting that left Larry Scoggins, 39, in a Columbus hospital.

The Scioto County Sheriff’s Department is looking for two suspects they believe were involved in a shooting that injured a man Monday in McDermott.
Lee F. York, 26, and the driver of the vehicle, Steve Hodge, 25, are being sought by deputies, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department. A warrant for attempted murder has been filed for York. The man injured in the shooting, Larry Scoggins, 39, was taken to Southern Ohio Medical Center and then to Grant Hospital in Columbus, the sheriff’s department said.
Sheriff Marty Donini said sheriff’s deputies received a call that a man showed up at a home just after 6 p.m. in the 200 block of Smith Street, saying he had been shot several times.
Detectives said the shooting actually happened in a vehicle on Tat Man Coe Road in McDermott.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black Pontiac Sunbird with ground effects and a sun roof.
If anyone finds the vehicle or has any information about the suspects, they are asked to call Detective Paul Blaine at 740-351-1092.
