Students and community members plan to come together to remember a coach who died suddenly.
Dick Green, the assistant coach for the Nitro Girls' Soccer team, collapsed on the field during pregame warmups on Saturday. Coach Green suffered a massive heart attack.
He's been a coach for many years throughout Putnam County. All who knew him are invited to attend a candle light vigil in his honor. It is scheduled for 8:30 Monday night at Nitro High School's soccer field, which is by the city pool.
