OFFICER HURT Roadway Reopens After Crash That Injured Highway Patrol Officer

An Ohio State Highway Patrol officer was in the hospital after an early morning accident in Scioto County Friday.
The crash happened about 7 a.m. along U.S. 23 near Portsmouth, in the Rosemount area, highway patrol officers said. Details of the accident are not being released.
The highway officer was flown to a Columbus hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle involved was taken to an area hospital. No names are being released at this time.
Officers say the roadway reopened just before 12:30 p.m.
