RALLY IN RIPLEY Anti-Bullying Rally Planned In Jackson County

An anti-bullying rally is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Ripley at the Jackson County Courthouse.
The event is being sponsored by the group Living In Kind Environments (LIKE), according to a news release from the organization. Scheduled activities include an “Idol” contest at 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. and a band performance at 8 p.m.
LIKE was founded by Trorie Atkinson, a senior at Fairmont State University, her grandmother, Karen King of Evans said. She said her granddaughter started the organization to help other kids because she was bullied when she was in school. The organization has about 45 members.
