West Virginia National Guard officials are warning to be on the alert for a phone scam in which an individual is asking for donations to purchase calling cards for military members serving overseas.
No member of the West Virginia National Guard will ever solicit money from civilians, according to a news release from the National Guard. The individual has been contacting local residents and businesses, the National Guard said.
