A former employee of the 911 center pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Kanawha Circuit Court to charges of sexual abuse.
Joseph Coen, 51, of Sissonville was arrested in January after allegedly fondling a female relative last year. He was suspended without pay while the county did an internal investigation.
An Oct. 22 trial is set before Kanawha Circuit Judge James Stucky.
Coen is charged with felony sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian and person in position of trust and third-degree sexual abuse, a misdemeanor. He faces a possible 10 to 20 years in prison if found guilty.
