Charleston police say they have identified a man captured on camera using fake cash.
The video showed a man who walked into the One Stop Exxon station on Lee Street West about 5 p.m. Monday and used a counterfeit $50 dollar bill. Police have identified the suspect but had not made an arrest yet because the investigation is continuing, according to a news release Wednesday from the Charleston Police Department.
Police said the man was believed to be in his late 40s to 50s and say he took off in a red pickup truck.
