Fire has destroyed a beloved family restaurant in Martin County, Ky.
Grandad's Restaurant, a fixture in Inez for more than a decade, was consumed by the blaze about 1:30 p.m. Monday, Inez Fire Chief Lee Gauze said.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they say the fire had already spread to the roof of the building. Investigators believe it started in the kitchen and dining area. The fire is not considered suspicious at this time.
Gauze also said a family member he spoke with is not sure whether or not they had fire insurance on the building.
