Striking steelworkers at the Constellium Aluminum Plant in Ravenswood were applying Tuesday for unemployment benefits.
WorkForce West Virginia employees were taking the applications at the Armory in Millwood until 2:30 p.m. State law allows workers involved in a labor dispute to file a claim for unemployment compensation. On Thursday, there will be a rally in Ravenswood to support striking workers.
About 700 steelworkers are on strike in the dispute.
