One woman is in jail after troopers say she and her sister got into an argument that took a violent turn.
Tera Adkins was charged with malicious wounding following a stabbing that occurred about 8:30 p.m. Sunday on Burlington Road in the Huntington area of Wayne County, West Virginia State Police Sgt. Robert Perry said. Adkins showed up at her sister Tony’s residence and the two got into a verbal argument that turned physical, Perry said. Tera Adkins allegedly took out a knife and stabbed her sister twice in the back and once in her side.
Both women were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Tera Adkins was arrested upon her release. Tony Adkins was also treated and released.
