A retired school teacher pleaded guilty Monday to engaging in sexual conduct with a 14-year-old girl.
Maurice White pleaded guilty in Kanawha Circuit Court before Judge Charlie King to sexual abuse and sexual abuse by a parent or guardian.
White was first arrested in August 2011, when the girl's parents went to police and said White was having an inappropriate relationship with their daughter.
White was then arrested again earlier this year for sending a text message to a friend of the victim, trying to arrange a meeting with the girl. White will be sentenced in October.
