A Kanawha County man is behind bars accused of trying to steal copper wire from an American Electric Power site.
Police say Jay McFeely jumped over a fence at an AEP building on 29th Street West in North Charleston around 7am Sunday. Officers say he was trying to steal copper wire from the property.
After McFeely was arrested, police say he admitted that he was involved in two other breaking and entering crimes in Kanawha County.
McFeely was arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court and is currently en-route to the South Central Regional Jail.
