The case of a woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend, will head to a grand jury.
David Snyder was stabbed in the chest with a pocket knife, and died several days later.
Stacey McCormick is accused of stabbing Snyder during a fight in their West Side apartment. On Monday, the case was bound over to a grand jury.
The woman charged in the stabbing death of her boyfriend said Monday that she didn’t mean to kill him.
Stacy McCormick talked exclusively with Eyewitness News and said at the time of the incident on Thursday, her boyfriend David Snyder, was beating her and came after her.
Snyder died Sunday as a result of his injuries. McCormick now faces murder charges.

A man stabbed on the West Side of Charleston last week has died from his injuries, and his girlfriend is now charged with first-degree murder, city police said.
David Snyder died Sunday after being stabbed with a pocketknife about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Washington Street West, police said. Stacy McCormick had been charged with malicious wounding, but those charges have been upgraded to first-degree murder following Snyder’s death, police said.
McCormick was scheduled to be arraigned Monday on the new charge.
