A former Cabell County nurse appeared in court Tuesday morning for his pretrial.
In December 2011, Travis Burdette, 36, of Salt Rock was charged with sexually abusing an elderly cancer patient at Cabell Huntington Hospital. At the time of the alleged assault, Burdette worked as a licensed practical nurse. Police say the alleged victim is a 70-year-old woman.
Burdette is charged with two felonies and is expected to enter a plea in Cabell County Circuit Court later this month.
