Cabell County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man they say stole three purses around Cabell County.
Roy Sutherlin, 32, is charged with 13 different counts, including petit larceny, forgery and uttering and fraudulent use of credit cards.
He allegedly stole purses out of cars at the Barboursville Walmart, the Speedway on Route 60 and the Kroger gas station in Barboursville, authorities said.
Deputies said they have surveillance video of a suspect, trying to use victims' credit cards at a gas station and two chain stores. Authorities said the suspect also was also captured on tape, trying to cash a stolen check at a local credit union. The suspect took off after the check raised some suspicion, leaving behind his driver's license, deputies said.
Sutherlin was being held on $64,000 bond at the Western Regional Jail.
