West Virginia State Police are seeking a convicted felon who allegedly threatened to kill his parole officer and troopers.
Russell Gillenwater of Boone County allegedly called his parole officer Friday morning from a blocked number that could not be traced and told him he was going to kill him and two state troopers, State Police said.
Gillenwater has a lengthy violent criminal history, including shooting a man in the head in front of the man’s 12-year-old daughter in Boone County in 2005.
Investigators believe Gillenwater may be hiding in Marmet.
Anyone with information about the suspect’s location is asked to call State Police at 304-369-7800.
