Authorities believe a man wanted in North Carolina in the slaying of his girlfriend could be in West Virginia, where there have been reported sightings.
Nathan “Nate” Summerfield, 27, is being sought on a murder warrant in connection with the July death of Lynn Jackenheimer, 33, of Ashland, Ohio, said J. Honaker, a supervisor with the U.S. Marshals Service in Charleston.
There have been reports of possible sightings of Summerfield in Tucker, Randolph and Grant counties. Honaker said authorities are searching in Jackson County, where Summerfield has family members.
Summerfield is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes.
