A couple has died from a domestic shooting in the Village of Oak Hill, Ohio, police said.
Tina M. Carter, 39, was found with multiple gunshot wounds about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on the porch of a home at 270 Mill St., according to a news release from the Village of Oak Hill Police Department. Officers were responding to reports of a domestic disturbance call with shots fired near the intersection of Lincoln and Mill streets.
Carter was transported to Holzer Medical Center by the Jackson County Emergency Medical Services and was pronounced dead at the hospital, the release said.
Officers arrived at Carter’s residence at 136 Lincoln St. and found her husband, Michael F. Carter, 49, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, the release said.
