The city of Hurricane and the Putnam County Health Department close down two motels.
The American Inn and the Budget Inn share a lot off the Hurricane exit and have 110 rooms. Health inspectors say all of those rooms are uninhabitable and shut the motels down Tuesday.
Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards said the owner, Navnit Sangani, was cited for bed bugs, mold, unsanitary conditions, structural problems and ventilation issues.
Edwards said Sangani can not reopen the motels until all the problems are fixed.
Sangani tells Eyewitness News is is in the process of correcting all of the problems and hopes to re-open soon.
