DROWNING Woman Drowns On Little Coal River

Crews are on the scene of a drowning on the Little Coal River in Alum Creek.
Dispatchers say a woman was swimming in the Little Coal River around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon, went under and never came back up.
A fisherman was able to pull her body out of the river near the interstate bridge. The fisherman, who was also a doctor, tried unsuccessfully to revive the woman.
We are told the woman had been under water for about 15 minutes before she was found.
The victim's name has not been released, but we are told she is in her mid to late 20's.
