A former youth leader of a Boyd County, Kentucky mission is in jail after troopers say he raped a 16-year-old girl.
Troopers arrested Nathanael Handloser, 28, of Ashland on Monday. Over the weekend, they responded to the Hillcrest-Bruce Mission, located in the Pollard community of Ashland.
Troopers say the victim told them Handloser raped her at the mission where he served as a youth leader. The Executive Director of the mission, Randy Loschert, confirmed that Handloser worked there for about two years, but is no longer an employee.
Handloser is in the Boyd County Detention Center, charged with one count of rape.
