Sandra Tallman rushed to restart her 89-year-old father's home generator after it suddendly stopped Thursday morning in Roane County.
Power is life to someone on electric-generated oxygen. Okey Miller, her father. is battling throat cancer and was powerless for a dozen days following the June 29th storm that left more than 680,000 customers without electricity across the state.
The power went out again in Newton in a new storm Wednesday night. Some people around Newton already spent 13 days without power.
Mon Power worked the problem. Extra crews came in from three other parts of the state. But once again some trouble spots were hard to reach with equipment and the army of linemen imported for the big one are gone.
People are increasingly frustrated with more than enough powerless experience to get by without miserably without it. The company points out it can not control the weather.
