More than a hundred young people from across West Virginia are getting a lesson in law enforcement this week in Ona.
The WV Sheriff's Youth Leadership Academy is giving teenagers an up close and personal look at how police investigate, firefighters and EMS rescue crash victims and even what it's like for someone to be tased.
Deputies and other emergency workers from across the state are participating in the week-long camp.
Sheriff Tom McComas said, "It's like an academy for kids. They're getting great experience so they'll know whether or not they want to work in the law enforcement community. It's really teaching them leadership skills."
Teens will also be learning about sniper training, felony traffic stops and swift water rescue.
