A 13-year old boy is in some serious trouble after deputies say he allegedly stole prescription meds from his mother before burglarizing a nearby home.
Kanawha County deputies say it happened in the 700 block of MacCorkle Avenue in St. Albans around 12am Monday. The boy's mother told deputies that he had stolen her prescription medication. A couple of hours later, Darrell Frye, 52, a neighbor, says he found the boy hiding in his tomato garden - holding a lantern stolen from his basement.
Deputies say that the then boy took off and jumped into a nearby creek, where he cut his leg. He was taken to the hospital and will be arrested once he is released.
Other items taken from Frye's home were also found and returned.
