Multiple law enforcement agencies bust a huge prescription pill ring early Friday morning -- now four people are in jail.
Deputies say it happened along Meadow Fork Road. They arrested Christopher Ryan Ferrell, 27, Jessica Marie Elswick, 21, both of Hewett, Michael Maurice Mitchell, 27, and Marshall Darnell Taylor, 38, both of Detroit, Michigan.
Deputies say Ferrell and Elswick lived at that home and believe that they had opened their home to Mitchell and Taylor in exchange for cash and drugs. Deputies say they found a large amount of the prescription pill Opana -- a strong pain killer -- and cash. We're told a 4-month-old infant was also inside that home.
West Virginia State troopers, members of the Madison City Police Department, and the US 119 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force all assisted in the bust.
Right now, all four face possession, intent to deliver, and child neglect charges; more charges could be forthcoming.
