A business owner is busted for allegedly swapping prescription pills for sex.
Jackson County deputies arrested 68 year old Lewis Stephens.
Stephens owns J-E Stephens Farm Machinery near Cottageville.
Deputies say Stephens would swap Hydrocodone or cash for various sexual acts with multiple women at his business, home, and other locations.
A lengthy investigation led to the undercover bust Wednesday night. Deputies say one of Stephens' alleged "clients" helped them with the bust by giving Stephens' the cell phone number of a detective; telling him it was another woman wanting to trade pills for pleasure. Deputies say Stephens sent graphic text messages to the detective and then set up a meeting time to deliver the pills. Once the detective had the pills in hand, Stephens was arrested.
Stephens is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute.
