A Cabell County toddler is recovering after he suffered severe burns after a car full of them three a packet of fireworks at his family.
The toddler's father says his family was walking in Huntington and had to stop on the corner of 10th Avenue and 20th Street for a stoplight. He says that's when a maroon car with two men inside pulled up and threw the package of fireworks at the family.
The fireworks landed a few feet from 2-year-old Chase Nichols' stroller.
Chase suffered second and first degree burns on his feet.
Chase's father says he yelled "you burned my child," and the man on the passenger side gave him the middle finger while speeding off.
