Get your walking shoes on for this year's Charleston Distance Run!
The run/walk will start bright and early at 7:30am on September 1st -- that's Labor Day weekend.
This year's edition of the Charleston Distance Run marks the 40th anniversary of the 15-mile run and the 20th anniversary of the 5K run.
The course will take participants along the Kanawha River and downtown streets before finishing at the University of Charleston's Laidley Field. The 10K walk will take you on a climb through Spring Hill Cemetery.
The cost is just $20 dollars until August 22nd for the noncompetitive 5K or 10K walks, or $25 dollars until 9pm on August 31st.
Your entry fee includes a pre-race pasta dinner the night before the event, a T-shirt, goody bag, medal honoring the five years for the event, and post race lunch.
