The pools are packed, water guns are loaded, and the temperature is rising.
"If you think about it it's way worse but if you don't think about it it's not so bad," said Layne Daniel.
"It's hot but I love football!" said Norman Kennedy.
Boys ages seven to 17 are enjoying a steamy football camp at Laidley Field in some of the hottest weather we've had in five years.
"I'm not really a fan of the heat I like the fall and spring weather better," said Tristan Burgess.
"It's really hot and we've been drinking a lot of water and putting on sunscreen," said Trey Pancake.
While some are making the most of the hot weather, it's important to remember the dangers related to heat.
You should seek shade especially between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., wear light colored and lite-weight clothing, and drink LOTS of water.
"I'm staying hydrated because I feel like I'm gonna pass out it's so hot," said Cordell Parsons.
Ronan Factora with the Cleveland Clinic says you should drink six to eight, eight ounce glasses of water in normal weather. When it's extremely hot like it is now, you have to drink even more than that.
You're also advised to avoid strenuous activity between the hours of 11:a.m. and 4:00p.m. That's the peak heat of the day.
If you play it safe during this lengthy heat wave, cool weather, relatively speaking... .will be here before we know it!
You also need to remember to use extreme caution while burning outdoors and setting off fireworks. The ground is very dry and no widespread rain is expected in the near future.
