A Hurricane City Councilman has been arrested for allegedly soliciting a teenage girl on a cellphone.
State Police arrested 31-year-old Scott Cunningham Wednesday.
Investigators say they found explicit texts on the 13-year-old girl's phone. They say Cunningham had texted the girl from February to May of this year.
Cunningham is charged with two counts of soliciting a minor. He is currently out on bond.
Cunningham resigned from Hurricane City Council Wednesday afternoon.
