With the rising temperatures a lot of people are trying to find ways to stay cool, but a summer hot spot has hit a bit of a dry spell. The Wave Pool in Hurricane no longer has waves.
The machine that generates the waves has given out and pool managers aren't sure when the problem will be fixed. The pool just turned 30 this year. To make matters worse, for the time being, the slides are closed too.
They've been off limits all season due to some needed upgrades. In the meantime, the park has brought in an inflatable slide until the big slides re-open next week.
But despite all the setbacks, people aren't staying away, the pool was pretty packed on Wednesday. Managers say it's still a good option to stay cool.
Because of the issues, the Wave Pool has cut its admission prices basically in half, to $5. They are also honoring any season passes from the Putnam County Pool in Eleanor. Those who have season passes to the Eleanor pool can also use those at the Wave Pool.
