Police cruisers swarmed Spring Street's 7-Eleven on Charleston's west side around 4:00 a.m. Saturday. All because police say a man shot a woman then turned the gun on himself.

Police say the trigger man is 45-year old Larry Boner, and the woman who was shot is 41-year old Joyce Good.

Police say the two took a drive to the 7-Eleven and Good's story to police is that she was trying to get help. Because she was scared of Boner and knew he had a gun.

"At that time, she told the clerk he had a gun. He fired three shots at her hitting her once in the arm then fled the scene," said Sgt. Bobby Eggleton of the Charleston Police Department.

Boner took off behind the 7-Eleven into a neighborhood. Boner then shot and killed himself in a yard.

It's a string of violence that isn't sitting well with people who close by. Especially people like Bonne Hissom. Bonnie saw Boner just moments after he killed himself in her yard.

"I can't imagine what his life was like. I have no idea. But I think it's so sad that somebody thinks it's so bad they have to end it," said Hissom.

Neighbor Ashley Cantrell says she's just glad her kids weren't home at the time.

"I have babies! Small babies. And like I told you earlier, it could have been a stray bullet that just went off and didn't hit the target," explained Cantrell.

Police say Good is recovering at the hospital and police believe the shooting sparked from a domestic dispute.

Whatever the reason, the neighbors don't want the violence to continue near their doorstep.

"Now I'm kind of scared to just be out here," said Cantrell.

Eyewitness News has learned that Boner was recently released from Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital.

Investigators also say Good filed a DVP against Boner on June 8.
