Mason County sheriff's deputies are investigating a house fire that turned explosive late last night.
It happened in the Gallipolis Ferry area a little after 11:00 Wednesday night. Firefighters responded to the 2700 block of Crab Creek Road, and not long after they got on scene, there was an explosion inside the house. We're told they may be investigating it as a possible meth lab explosion. One man was severely burned in the fire. 33-year-old Christopher Arrington was airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital.
The fire marshal was called in to investigate, but the damage was so extensive they weren't able to get inside.
