KSP HONORS KSP Recognizes Trooper, Detective Of The Year

Kentucky State Police are honoring a couple of good men.
The KSP Ashland post has awarded the 2011 Trooper of the Year to Trooper First Class Shane Goodall. Trooper Goodall has been with KSP for 11 years and is assigned to Boyd County, where he resides.
Detective Chris Carter earned the honor of Detective of the Year for Post 14 in Ashland. Carter has served there for seven years and is assigned as a General Detective to Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence Counties. Carter lives in Lawrence County.
The two men were honored at an awards ceremony back in May at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Frankfort.
“These men were selected based off their dedication and continued selfless service to the citizens of our post area. They represent an elite group of men and women across the Commonwealth of Kentucky," said CPT Merrell Harrison, Commander of Post 14.
