A murder investigation is underway in Lawrence County Ohio after a man is shot in the head over the weekend. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Detective Aaron Bollinger tells Eyewitness News that Ashley Seagraves, 23, admitted to shooting Delmar Jenkins, 53, early Sunday morning. Jenkins' sister, Joyce McClellan says, "I don't know a thing about her, but she ain't no good." She and several more family members and friends packed into the Ironton Municpal courtoom Monday afternoon, all there to face Seagraves for the first time as she was being arraigned on a murder charge. McClellan says, "I was very shocked to find out he'd been shot in the back of the head, when a man lay in bed asleep." Seagraves, who told deputies she's seven months pregnant, was allegedly at Jenkins' home on Township Road 323 about 5:00 Sunday morning and was seen fleeing the home. A family member who lived in the trailer with Jenkins was home at the time of the shooting, but apparently slept through it. That person found Jenkins with severe trauma about 10:45 Sunday morning. He was flown to St. Mary's Medical Center where he died of his injuries Monday morning. Seagraves reportedly told detectives she shot Jenkins, but they haven't released a motive. Detective Aaron Bollinger with the Lawrence County sheriff's office says, "There was some drug use involved by Ashley Seasgraves according to her own statement" Bollinger says the two were friends, but it's unclear if they were romantically involved. He says, "She did state that Mr. Jenkins was good to her. She had stayed there from time to time overnight." Jenkins family members say they think he was being taken advantage of. McClellan says, "Anybody that knowed him knows he was a good man. He'd feed anybody come in that's hungry, or give them the shirt off his back." Now she wants to make sure the person responsible for her brother's death is punished. She says, "I just think it's a shame someone would go in and do a man like that." Seagraves is being held on $250,000 cash-only bond and is expected back in court later this week. MORE NEWS FROM EYEWITNESS NEWS
