A Charleston man accused of killing his roommate last year is sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Monday, Kenneth Carter appeared in front of Judge Stucky in Kanawha County Court. In addition, Judge Stucky sentenced Carter to two to ten years on the malicious wounding charge.
Carter is accused of killing his roommate Ronald Forton and critically inuring Brady Dunlap last summer.
Back in March, a hung jury forced the judge to declare a mistrial.
Dunlap says Carter hit him twice and he ended up with 16 stitches.
