From the mountains to Herd country, the ban of cigarette use on public universities is becoming a hot topic.
West Virginia University just banned smoking now the debate on Marshall's campus is heating up.
Proponents of the Marshall ban brought up the issue twice this year but Ray Harrell, student body president, said it didn't have enough support.
However, Harrell said a student assessment conducted by the university in the spring showed and increase in support of a campus wide smoking ban.
