Pineville Municipal Water Works has issued a boil water advisory for the Williamson Branch area of Wyoming County.
Crews say there was a water leak and there is a strong possibility the water might be contaminated. They have fixed the leak, but are waiting for test results to determine if the water is safe.
The customers affected live on Williamson Branch Road to the end of the system.
Customers should boil their water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, cleaning, bathing and brushing teeth.
