A West Virginia Sheriff is facing federal charges.
A Federal Grand Jury has indicted Jefferson County Sheriff Robert Shirley for a beating that resulted in bodily injury. The incident happened in Berkeley County back in December 2010.
Shirley is also charged with falsifying records in the investigation. If convicted, Shirley faces up to 30 years in prison and a half million dollar fine.
