NITRO ELECTION Unofficial Results Point To Upset In Nitro Mayoral Race

Unofficial results determine city council member Dave Casebolt has beat out incumbent Mayor Rusty Casto. Casebolt garnered 876 votes, compared to Casto's 643.
The measure to hold a special non-partisan primary election did not pass.
Incumbent Recorder Rita Cox won again Jim McKay, currently an at-large council member. Cox garnered 980 votes, McKay had 504.
At large council winners are Craig Matthews, Bill Javins, and Brenda Tyler.
Laurie Elkins won Ward 3, and Bill Racer won Ward 2.
Ward 1 results have not yet been determined.

A close race in Nitro's mayoral elections, as all but two precincts are reporting.
Current mayor Rusty Casto is squaring off against Dave Casebolt.
Council member Dave Casebolt has 491 votes compared to Mayor Rusty Casto who has 361.
Casto is running for a 5th term in office, while Casebolt is a current city council member.
There are several contested races on the ballot including city recorder, council-at-large seats and ward council seats, and a proposal on whether the city should add a nonpartisan primary election.
