A big attraction for dog lovers is just around the corner. The long awaited dog park will soon open. Last summer it was the talk of town when Huntington won the 100 thousand dollars in a national contest.
Tuesday afternoon, the concrete was still drying where crews had worked on the handicapped accessible entry. Phase one already has the fencing, rock walls and benches. Construction will continue in the next couple weeks. The park will segregate small and large dogs. The park will also have shaded areas and water features.
The grand opening will be Saturday June 16th from 1-4.
