Three people, including a state trooper are sent to the hospital after a crash Tuesday evening in eastern Kanawha County.
It happened just after 5:30 p.m. on Route 60 in Diamond.
Troopers say a blue Chevrolet Cavalier being driven by Richard Moore, 50, of Belle, struck the center median and hit a 2001 Chevrolet truck.
Troopers say Moore then continued, striking a guardrail, and crossed into the east bound lanes. He then hit a parked state trooper's cruiser, who had just finished a traffic stop, head-on. The trooper's dash camera was able to paint a clear picture of how the accident played out, according to state police.
Moore had to be cut from his vehicle and suffered severe injuries. His passenger was also sent the hospital.
The trooper also went to the hospital to be checked out.
Troopers say they are investigating the crash, and believe controlled substances were involved.
Route 60 was re-opened just after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
